Shinya Wakao - July, 2012

Shinya has worked as a professional English<>Japanese translator for more than 10 years!

His first work was the translation of an academic book in political science and while he works in a wide array of fields he specializes in finance, business, and government.

Project coordinator Alex Lyman says he has really appreciated Shinya's work with large government clients and that he delivers projects on time, every time.

Recently Shinya completed a series of translations for some of USTC's best clients in the government industry including the Utah Governor's Office of International Trade and Diplomacy and the State of Louisiana. Alex said he delivered excellent work, on-deadline.

Expanding his knowledge in several different subjects is one thing Shinya says he appreciates most about being a professional linguist.

He also says exploring a wide range of news outlets is one way to stay current with various topics, which comes in handy in his line of work.

"It is important to read, watch, and listen to a variety of news sources everyday to know what is going on. When we translate from one language to another, we not only need language skills per se but also the background of, and current trends in that field."

Atef Zaki - May, 2012

Atef has been a professional translator working in English<>Arabic for over thirty-four years.

Atef recently completed multiple projects in April and May for Project Coordinator Giovanna Roeseler.

Giovanna says she really appreciates Atef's technical translation ability and the fact that he delivers projects on time, every time.

Recently Atef completed a series of translations for some of USTC's best clients in the children's toy and product industry. Giovanna said Atef provided excellent work and delivered all his projects on-time.

In addition to professional translating, Atef teaches engineering classes at the University of California, Riverside extension and has authored three college-level algebra text books.

"It is rewarding to know that I am helping someone understand what a certain document says, or helping a business man or a company market with their services or products to the Arab countries."

Jose Luis Fonseca - March, 2012

Jose has been a professional translator working in English<>Spanish for over twenty six years

Jose completed multiple projects in March for Project Coordinator Giovanna Roeseler.

Jose works in a wide array of fields and specializes in finance and legal terminology.

"I have learned a little about a lot," he said. "I've become a jack of all trades, so to speak."

Recently Jose completed translations for some of USTC's best clients in the manufacturing and information gathering fields. Giovanna said Jose was quick to respond, on-time, and provided excellent work.

Jose identifies diversity of subject matter among projects as one of the things he likes most about being a professional linguist.

"What I most enjoy about my work is mainly the opportunity of acquiring knowledge and learning about several different topics in distinct subject areas. Also, as I´m a freelance translator, I like working at home and with flexible hours."

Andrea Doria - September, 2011

Andrea has been a professional translator working in English<>Portuguese for over twenty years!

Although Andrea has only been working with USTC since April, she has already completed 11 translation project for a variety of clients.

Andrea works in a wide array of fields and specializes in IT, Oil and Gas, Engineering, Dentistry, Medical and Pharmaceutical and Business Administration.

Recently Andrea completed over 3,000 words for a respected research industry client. The client's representative went out of his way to let us know just how amazing the translation had been.

Andrea told us what she likes most about being a professional linguist.

"I enjoy learning about a great many fields. I keep up with whatxs going on in lots of different areas such as cutting edge technology, legal issues, business strategies, etc. Additionally, I deal with people from different countries and cultural backgrounds, that's a very enriching experience."

Gernot Vonhoegen - August, 2011

Gernot has been a professional translator working in English<>German for over five years.

Gernot specializes in veterinary, biological, medical and technical USTC project managers say he always delivers fully proofread and clean files on or before deadline.

Recently Gernot completed a rush translation project (proofreading included) of nearly 4,500 words in under 48 hours for a new client.

Gernot had this to say regarding what he likes most about being a professional linguist.

"The high diversity of material is never routine, there's always something new and I'm constantly learning."

Henrik Pipoyan - July, 2011

Henrik is a professional Armenian translator working in both translation and interpretation since 1987.

Since 2002 Henrik has completed over 200 projects with U.S. Translation Company.

Henrik specializes in medicine, healthcare, literature, law, and science and USTC project managers say he always delivers fully proofread and clean files on or before deadline.

Regarding the language translation industry, Henrik had this to say.

"Translation provides a rich source of information and requires creativity; these are the things I enjoy most of all."

Sylvia Schulter - June, 2011

Sylvia is one of the most frequently requested English<>Spanish interpreters that we work with in the Wasatch Front Area.

Working in both translation and interpretation since 1987, clients are constantly asking our project coordinators if she is available for legal and medical interpretation appointments.

Sylvia specializes in legal and medical interpretation projects.

When asked what she enjoyed the most about being a professional interpreter, Sylvia explained that the variety of work and settings is what really makes her job enjoyable.

Alejandro (Alex) Mata - May, 2011

Professional Spanish Translator Alex has completed over 200 translation projects with USTC over the last several years.

Alex has been translating professionally for over eight years specializing in IT, business, engineering, and other general topics.

Alex's general willingness to go above and beyond whether it's specific client instructions for a project, deadlines, proofreading guidelines and anything else project managers ask of him has made Mr. Mata one of the biggest linguist assets USTC has.

When asked what he enjoyed the most about being a professional translator Alex had this to say: "The satisfaction of a job well done, working with an excellent team of colleagues, and learning about some products and events before anyone else!"

Emi White - April, 2011

Professional Japanese Translator Emi has completed over 100 projects for U.S. Translation Company over the last several years.

While medical technology and pharmaceuticals are her specialty, she recently went above and beyond the call of duty for both USTC and her native country of Japan.

When a project came in earlier this month for a rush powerpoint presentation involving relief efforts in Japan following the devastating earthquake and subsequent tsunami, Emi performed a translation of nearly 1,000 words in less than three hours without charge.

"I feel like translating this document at no charge," she explained. "I know it does not help much, but if you feel like paying me for this work, please donate this amount to Red Cross for me...Thanks."

Kyoko Johnston - March, 2011

Kyoko has been a professional Japanese Translator for 17 years and has completed over 100 projects for U.S. Translation Company!

While computer and software manuals and materials are her specialty, Kyoko also enjoys translating news articles and marketing materials for clients.

Recently Kyoko finished a large translation project for USTC involving a medical technology client that required both a medical software and engineering background in addition to professional translation skills.

"I love this job because of the flexibility. Since I have a child to take care of, it is great that I can choose what time to start working (usually late evening). Also, being able to work in PJ's is a big plus!"

Andres Ureta - February, 2011

Andres got his start as a professional Spanish translator and interpreter through a girlfriend who at the time was a dentistry student.

Andres translated her class materials and eventually decided to make a career out of it.

Because of these beginnings Andres specializes in dental and medical translations, but he works in HR and several other fields.

"I love being a freelancer, I can work and meet so many different people and places doing both, translating and interpreting. I love the fact that I can work with people from all around the world and feel that very same human touch."

Daniela Pintaric Sabanovica - January, 2011

Daniela has been a part of the translation industry as a professional Slovenian and German translator and language trainer for 14 years and while she's only been working with USTC for a short time, she's already made a big impact with her timely delivery and professionally executed translations of highly technical material.

"The big plus about this kind of work is the flexiblity. You can work from home and have the working day by yourself but also have more time with my kids."

Daniela offers professional translation services in specialty fields like: IT, electrical engineering, gas turbines, HR and training, web-pages, tourism, and medical.

Most recently Daniela worked on a cardiovascular system app for the iPad.

Marina Parsegova - December, 2010

Marina has been involved with Russian translation, interpretation, and language instruction for 30 years.

Originally from Baku, Azerbaijan, Parsegova came to the U.S. as refugee in 1992 and soon after started teaching college-level Russian in Utah.

"As a teacher, I had moments that no amount of money can buy. To see the growth of your student, whether it's a three-week class or a 4-semester journey, is very fulfilling. As a translator or an interpreter, I enjoy building bridges between people who otherwise cannot understand each other."

A confessed travel junkie, when she's not globetrotting Marina lives in Bountiful, Utah, with her husband of 28 years. She has two children, Greg and Nataliya.

Igor V. Batyrev - November, 2010

Igor is an all-star in the USTC translation services line-up as a professional Russian/Ukrainian Translator who has completed over 200 projects.

For the better part of a decade, Igor has completed projects ranging from simple birth certificates to mechanical Autocad files to time-sensitive legal documents.

His willingness to accept short turn-arounds and still produce amazing translations has made his involvement essential in the success of several key Russian translation projects.

Most recently, Igor has been involved in translating health care materials for one of USTC's biggest clients.

Liu (Lio) Fuxiang - October, 2010

Liu has been a huge asset as a Chinese Interpreter and translator for USTC project manager Jeremyn Kitchen and Kathy Sprouse.

His ability to turn around complex projects quickly and most of all accurately, has helped USTC meet strict deadlines with a premium product.

Most recently, Liu was part of a large project for an international government body that required precision translation as well as a tight deadline that was a necessity to meet.

Liu once again delivered a great translation on-time and professionally executed, proving once again why he's one of the best around.

Eneas Theodoro - August, 2010

Eneas has completed over a dozen Portuguese interpretation and translation projects for USTC.

Was part of the Portuguese Interpretation Team for the Monavie's "VISION 2010" held in Salt Lake City in June.

For Project Coordinator Jeremyn Kitchen, Theodoro received and returned 3000 words within 24 hours, proofread by three other sources, producing an impeccable final product.

Eneas' unique abillity to provide quality translation services and also execute flawless simultaneous and consecutive interpretation assignments in an array of subject matter and setting, makes him a versatile and valuable asset when it comes to language services.

Nick Galieti - September 2010

Nick has provided professional technical services for dozens of USTC events since 2007.

His technical expertise and professionalism has helped handle some of the biggest events the company provides including NuSkin and USANA's annual conventions.

Capable of handling complex set up and trouble shooting, as well as helping accommodate linguists and clients, Nick is a great all-around asset to have on site.

Nick Currently resides in West Valley City, UT. with his wife Heidi and their five girls.

In addition to his work with USTC, Nick also operates a professional recording studio in West Valley City, Utah called Radio Gold Productions.
